Bruce Brown Self Portrait
Bruce Brown believes that art is communication, which is manifested in his portraiture.  In his work he has a propensity for capturing his subjects' essence to the degree that their portrayal creates a connection between the viewer and the subject.  This glimpse reveals the epitome of the person, which creates images that evoke a sense of knowing and being.  Whether working with commercial photography, fine art photography or creating video, Bruce's talent for portraying the full range of human emotion is evident and alluring.
Bruce attended the noted Art Center College of Design, in Pasadena. He has worked primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1997.  His fine art photographic series Paradoxon / CU 29 has been collected by the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento and the di Rosa Preserve in Napa as well as in numerous other galleries, museums and private collections throughout the nation.  He currently lives in the Napa Valley with his beautiful wife and new born son.
